Paul Sinha ‘wasn’t well’ for Beast The Chasers filming

ICONINSIDER — Paul Sinha was too ill to film episodes of ‘Beat The Chasers’ last year.
The 50-year-old quizzer and comedian has revealed he won’t be starring on the ITV spin-off show after missing out due to ill health, but he is now “feeling much better”.
He tweeted: “New episodes of Beat the Chasers are on their way. Unfortunately, I wasn’t well for the recordings and couldn’t join in this time around. I’m feeling much better now.”
This comes two years after he revealed his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis, although Paul did not specify that the illness was related.
At the time, he went straight to work on ‘The Chase’ after opening up on the diagnosis.
Taking to Twitter in November 2020, he wrote: “In June last year I blogged that I had Parkinson’s.
“Then I shut my computer, left my agent to deal with things, and went into a studio to record The Chase.
“Today was that episode and all things told I was proud to get that close to that team on that day.”
Paul is also determined to remain positive, and he wants to “enjoy life”.
He said: “My health is dependent on positivity, I’ve got to deal with it the best that I can. I’m determined to enjoy life and prove that life is there for living.
“I’m lucky in general with my dream job and I need to celebrate in the many ways I’m a lucky person.”
The popular quiz show – which also stars Anne Hegerty, Shaun Wallace, Mark Labbett, Jenny Ryan, and Darragh Ennis – has been adapted into six new short episodes called ‘The Chase Extra’, which launched on ITV Hub earlier this month.
The show has given viewers the opportunity to find out more about their favourite quizzers as they turn into the quizmasters.
Each episode has featured one of the formidable Chasers testing viewers with their own set of 10 questions and answers, as well as their own unique interval – including telling jokes, giving quiz tips or playing a musical instrument.
