Catherine Tyldesley taking anti-sickness tablets ahead of Strictly routine

ICONINSIDER — Catherine Tyldesley has been taking anti-sickness tablets because of all the spinning in her first ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ routine.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress has been feel “very sick” while learning her Viennese waltz, so the “extremely nervous” star she has been popping some pills to ensure she doesn’t decorate the floor.
She said: “I’m loving it and my partner Johannes is phenomenal in every way.
“I’m extremely nervous and I’m doing the Viennese waltz which makes me feel very sick. I’m actually taking anti-sickness tablets because of the spinning.”
Catherine is “terrified” ahead of the first live show, but is pleased she isn’t able to be voted out of the programme on the weekend.
Speaking on ‘BBC Breakfast’, she added: “I’m really glad you can’t get voted out on week one because it’s so difficult, but I am just having the best time.
“The first live show is this weekend which is slightly terrifying.”
While Catherine is yet to strut her stuff on the dancefloor, the former cobbles favourite admits the programme has already been life-changing for her.
She said: “Ordinarily I completely shy away from having anybody looking at my body or anything like that. But the rehearsals we’ve been doing have been so much fun.
“Within an hour of the first day, I was thinking, ‘I don’t care what I look like, I’m just going for it … I’m a sweaty mess, I’m jiggling around all over the show, but you’ve just got to go for it.’
“This experience is almost a celebration of your body. That’s how I feel. I’ve shied away from stuff like this for so long, but I’m just going to enjoy myself and go with it.”
